Yep! You read correctly! $1000 hole! In order for us to have Power
run down to our property we had to have a power pole that is required to
be 6.5 feet in the ground. Well... with the Big Yellow I was able to
dig 3.5 feet, then we hit solid rock. Crap. So... we had to hire a rock
drilling truck to come across on the ferry $$$ as well as the $300 per
foot rate to drill. A little shocking yes. The white powder you see is
the pummeled rock. Hopefully in the next week or so (once the
Government Power company does the paperwork) we will have a big stick to
drop in here.
